Living in Noida costs about ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 a month in 2026 for a single person renting a 1 BHK. A family of four renting a 2 BHK or 3 BHK needs about ₹1.36 lakh to ₹1.56 lakh a month. That makes Noida noticeably cheaper than Gurgaon, mainly because rents are lower.

The totals below combine Numbeo's crowd-sourced estimate of monthly costs without rent with rent figures for specific Noida sectors. Every unit price in this guide (electricity, fuel, gas, milk, metro fares) is listed with its source and date, so you can adjust the budget to your own household.

How to read this table. "Other costs" is Numbeo's estimate for Noida, updated on 2 October 2026. It is built from 531 price entries by 59 contributors over the past year. It is not an official survey. Its family figure assumes a comfortable urban lifestyle, so a careful household can spend less. The rent sources are listed in the next section.

Rent in Noida by Sector

Noida rents depend on the sector, the age of the society and how close you are to a metro station. The table puts Housing.com's averages next to the asking-rent ranges on NoBroker listings, so you can see both the typical rent and the spread.

Sector2 BHK average (Housing.com, Aug 2025)2 BHK listings (NoBroker, Sep to Oct 2026)3 BHK listings (NoBroker, Sep to Oct 2026)

For a city-wide view, Numbeo puts a 1 BHK at ₹21,240 a month near the city centre and ₹13,756 further out. A 3 BHK averages ₹48,267 near the centre and ₹30,400 outside it.

Listing ranges are wide because a single sector can hold older authority-built flats and new towers with clubhouses. Sector 62 suits people working in its IT offices. Sectors 137 and 150 along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway draw families who want newer societies. For a closer look at each area, read our guide to the best sectors to live in Noida.

If you plan to buy rather than rent along the Expressway, Max Estates has Estate 128 in Sector 128 and Estate 105 in Sector 105. Our guide to Max Estates projects in Delhi NCR lists their RERA numbers and starting prices.

Utility Bills in Noida

Electricity

Noida homes get power from PVVNL under the Uttar Pradesh tariff. The UP Electricity Regulatory Commission kept domestic rates unchanged for 2026-27 in its July 2026 order. For homes with a connected load above 1 kW, the published rates are:

Monthly unitsRate per unit
0 to 150₹5.50
151 to 300₹6.00
Above 300₹6.50
Fixed charge₹110 per kW per month
Electricity duty5%

A home with a 3 kW load using 300 units a month pays about ₹1,725 in energy charges and ₹330 in fixed charges. That is about ₹2,050 before electricity duty. Many Noida societies also run power backup, which is billed separately through the society.

Water

The Noida Authority charges a flat monthly water bill based on the type of flat or plot. In many high-rise societies, water is included in the maintenance charge. Check the latest rate on your society's bill or with the Noida Authority, as we could not confirm the current official rates.

Cooking Gas

A 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder costs ₹939.50 in Noida as of October 2026, slightly less than in Delhi.

Society Maintenance

A survey of 25 Noida projects found maintenance charges of ₹1.70 to ₹2.50 per sq ft per month (NoBrokerHood, October 2025). Some societies charge more. In August 2026, residents of one Greater Noida West society protested when common area charges rose from ₹2.36 to ₹3.25 per sq ft. On a 1,200 sq ft flat at ₹2.50 per sq ft, maintenance comes to ₹3,000 a month.

Transport and Fuel Costs

Noida is served by the Delhi Metro's Blue and Magenta Lines and by the Noida Metro's Aqua Line. Delhi Metro fares were revised on 25 August 2025.

DistanceWeekday fareSunday and holiday fare
Up to 2 km₹11₹11
2 to 5 km₹21₹11
5 to 12 km₹32₹21
12 to 21 km₹43₹32
21 to 32 km₹54₹43
Above 32 km₹64₹54

The Aqua Line runs along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and its fares are set separately by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation. Check the current fare in the NMRC app. Our guide to the Noida Aqua Line extension covers the new stations planned on the route.

If you drive, fuel prices in Noida were:

  • CNG: ₹95.59 per kg (since 29 August 2026)
  • Petrol: ₹101.96 per litre (12 October 2026)

Food and Groceries

Mother Dairy raised milk prices across Delhi NCR from 14 May 2026. Full cream milk now costs ₹72 a litre and toned milk ₹60 a litre. A family that uses 1.5 litres of toned milk a day spends about ₹2,700 a month on milk alone.

Numbeo's "other costs" figure in the first table covers groceries, eating out and household items, so you don't need to add these separately.

School Fees and Domestic Help

The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration capped school fee increases at 7.23% for the 2026-27 session. In August 2026, seven schools were fined ₹1 lakh each for raising fees beyond the cap. Fee levels vary widely between schools, so check each school's published fee page.

For domestic help, Uttar Pradesh's interim minimum wage for unskilled workers in Noida is ₹13,690 a month from 1 April 2026. In April 2026, domestic workers protesting in Sector 121 asked for ₹18,000 to ₹20,000 a month for full-time work. Part-time help for one or two tasks costs less.

How to Keep Your Noida Budget in Check

  1. Live close to your office or a metro station. Sector 62 works for its IT parks, and the Aqua Line serves the Expressway sectors. If you work at Max Square in Sector 129, Sector 128 is next door. Max Towers in Sector 16B is near the Sector 16 metro station.
  2. Check maintenance and power backup charges before you rent. Both are billed by the society, not the landlord.
  3. Know the school fee cap. The district has fined schools for raising 2026-27 fees above 7.23%.
  4. Use the metro on Sundays and holidays. Longer trips cost one slab less.
  5. Compare CNG and petrol costs. In Noida, the gap between CNG and petrol prices is smaller than in Gurgaon.
